History & Re Launch

Founded in 1990 by four corporate security managers, the Eastern Region Transportation Security Council (ERTSC) was created to combat cargo theft across the Northeastern United States. Over the years, ERTSC partnered with the New Jersey State Police, the FBI’s Newark office, and various security organizations to strengthen collaboration between law enforcement and the transportation industry in the region.

Although the council disbanded in 2020 after 30 years, a new wave of supply chain stakeholders is now reviving it—bringing together both veteran members and new voices to carry the mission forward under the rebranded moniker of Northeast Cargo Security Council (NECSC).

Our goal is to foster an open, collaborative environment where security, loss prevention, and cargo security professionals local and afar can share experiences and learn from one another.

Join us as we reconnect, rebuild, and reenergize this vital network. Together, we can protect the supply chain and shape the future of cargo security. Subscribe Now! First 12 Months are Free!
